First day…part 2
We made our way to Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (National Art Museum of Catalonia). The museum opened its door in 1934 as the Museu d’Art de Catalunya. It is located in the Palau Nacional of Montjuïc. It is mostly open from 10am to 6pm except in summer when it is open from 10am to 8pm. It is closed on Mondays. General admission is 12 euros. We went there via the 55 bus but you can also take the metro or even go on foot. To be honest we didn’t go inside. We walked to the terrace and the view was phenomenal. One can see people exercising, riding their bikes or just sitting around the fountain. The walk up wasn’t the easiest but once up there, the only thing that takes your breath away are the views.
From there we took the bus to where we were staying. We don’t know much about the area. We had a T-10 card which is a multi person travel card with 10 journeys. The cost for the T-10 card is 10.20 euros. We overran our stop by five stops and ended up walking back to where we were staying. Remember to always wear comfortable shoes because walking you will be.
Primer Dia…Parte 2
Nos dirigimos al Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña. El museo abrió sus puertas en 1934 como el Museu d’Art de Catalunya. Se encuentra en el Palau Nacional de Montjuác. Está abierto en su mayoría de 10am a 6pm excepto en verano cuando está abierto de 10am a 8pm. Está cerrado los lunes. La entrada general es de 12 euros. Fuimos allí a través del autobús 55, pero también se puede tomar el metro o incluso ir a pie. Para ser honesta, no entramos. Caminamos a la terraza y la vista era fenomenal. Se puede ver a la gente haciendo ejercicio, montando en bicicleta o simplemente sentado alrededor de la fuente. El paseo no fue el más fácil, pero una vez allá arriba, lo único que te quita el aliento son las vistas.
Desde allí tomamos el autobús hasta donde nos alojamos. Teníamos una tarjeta T-10 que es una tarjeta de viaje multipersona con 10 viajes. El costo de esta tarjeta es de 10.20 euros. Como no sabemos mucho sobre la zona nos pasamos por cinco paradas y terminamos caminando de regreso a donde nos alojamos. Recuerda siempre usar zapatos cómodos porque vas a caminar mucho.
