On our way to Porto, Portugal

On our way to Porto from Tuleda, Spain we stopped at Zaragoza, Guadalajara and Salamanca. In Zaragoza we drove thru many small villages. We stopped at Barahona, located in the province of Soria, Castile and León, and saw the Iglesia San Miguel. This was a small church in a village that seemed abandoned for the most part; we saw two children playing and an old man sitting in a chair. We kept on driving towards Valverde de los Arroyos, located in the province of Guadalajara. This was a really cute village. We arrived during, you guessed it, Siesta Time, and the only restaurant open was closing. We knew there was a waterfall nearby and asked but the waterfall was at least a 45 minute walk and we didn’t have the shoes for it. On our way to the waterfall, when we thought we were actually going to the waterfall, we passed by cherry trees and apple trees. We had not seeing a cherry tree before and we didn’t know if these were edible cherries so we did what any other person would do, we googled it. They were edible and we were hungry. So we started eating cherries. They were delicious, sweet and juicy. Afterwards we walked back to the center of the village where they had a fountain. We drank from the fountain, very cold water and filled up our water bottles. If you ever want to get away from the world, this is a cute little village to go visit.

Entonces comenzamos a comer cerezas. Estaban deliciosos, dulces y jugosos.
