After leaving Valverde de los Arroyos we drove thru Guadalajara. We stopped at a bar to eat something but…it was Siesta Time – SMH!!! So we decided to walk a little. There was hardly anyone around and then we heard a fight. Two girls were beating one girl and of course, my dear sister (the teacher), decided that she was going break up the fight and goes to them asking them to stop fighting. Meanwhile, this poor girl is getting beat by these other two girls and cars are stopping to help. Guadalajara is located in central Spain, in the northeast of the Castile-La Mancha region. Guadalajara is known for its Black Architecture villages; we drove thru some of them. There are also several protected natural spaces in the province, such as the beech forest in the Tejeda Negra Nature Reserve. When traveling these places make sure that your car has a full tank, you have snacks and water and I would probably suggest a paper map as there is no signal in these parts of Spain. The villages you see along the way are beautiful in their own way and you can only imagine how they used to be and the stories their crumbled walls could tell. The villages are like ghost towns as you will not see a soul and most of the buildings are in ruins. Nature seems to be taking back what once belonged to her and you will see overgrown shrubs. On the other hand, you will drive thru some spectacular sites. Sunflowers will paint the surface yellow since they cover a vast part of the area; you will see yellow all the way to the horizon. If you keep driving you will also see many parts are orange clay and rock. The different colors, scenery make this a trip worth taking. We were traveling from Guadalajara to Salamanca and we decided to make a quick stop in Madrid. We didn’t see much in Madrid as it seemed busy so we kept on driving to Salamanca, which is our next stop.
Después de salir de Valverde de los Arroyos, condujimos a través de Guadalajara. Nos detuvimos en un bar para comer algo pero … ¡era hora de la siesta – SMH! Entonces decidimos caminar un poco. Casi no había nadie alrededor y luego escuchamos una pelea. Dos chicas golpeaban a una y, por supuesto, mi querida hermana (la maestra), decidió que iba a terminar la pelea y se dirige a ellas pidiéndoles que dejen de pelear. Mientras tanto, estas otras dos chicas están golpeando a esta pobre niña y autos se detienen para ayudar. Guadalajara se encuentra en el centro de España, en el noreste de la región de Castilla-La Mancha. Guadalajara es conocida por sus pueblos de Arquitectura Negra; Manejamos a través de algunos de ellos. También hay varios espacios naturales protegidos en la provincia, como el bosque de hayas en la Reserva Natural de Tejeda Negra. Cuando viaje por estos lugares, asegúrese de que su automóvil tenga el tanque lleno, que tenga bocadillos y agua, y probablemente sugeriría un mapa en papel ya que no hay señal en estas partes de España. Los pueblos que ves en el camino son hermosos a su manera y solo puedes imaginar cómo solían ser y las historias que sus muros derruidos podrían contar. Los pueblos son como pueblos fantasmas, ya que no verá un alma y la mayoría de los edificios están en ruinas. La naturaleza parece estar recuperando lo que una vez le perteneció y verás arbustos cubiertos de maleza. Por otro lado, conducirá a través de algunos sitios espectaculares. Los girasoles pintarán la superficie de amarillo ya que cubren una gran parte del área; verá amarillo todo el camino hasta el horizonte. Si sigue conduciendo, también verá que muchas partes son de arcilla naranja y roca. Los diferentes colores, el paisaje hacen que este viaje valga la pena. Viajábamos de Guadalajara a Salamanca y decidimos hacer una parada rápida en Madrid. No vimos mucho en Madrid, ya que parecía ocupado, así que seguimos conduciendo a Salamanca, que es nuestra próxima parada.
